Welcome to the Barnsley Central Ward web site. This site was set up by the ward Councillors, (Cllr Margaret Bruff, Cllr Mike Stokes and Cllr Doug Birkinshaw) to help keep you informed.

On this site you will find information about the Central ward, local news and details of how you can get in touch with us. We particularly want you to know that there are ways in which you as a Central ward resident can participate in discussions on the decisions taken about where you live. You can attend formal meetings such as Scrutiny Commissions, Full Council Meetings and Cabinet Meetings to hear what is said and you can come along to Neighbourhood Meetings and make comments and/or put questions to officers and councillors.
