| Welcome to Barnsley Central Ward
Welcome to the Barnsley Central Ward web site. This site was set up by the ward Councillors, ( Cllr Margaret Bruff, Cllr Martin Dyson and Cllr Doug Birkinshaw) to help keep you informed.
On this site you will find information about the Central ward, local news and details of how you can get in touch with us. We particularly want you to know that there are ways in which you as a Central ward resident can participate in discussions on the decisions taken about where you live. You can attend formal meetings such as Scrutiny Commissions, Full Council Meetings and Cabinet Meetings
to hear what is said and you can come along to Area Partnerships and make comments and/or put questions to officers and councillors.
We hope you find this web site of use. Comments and suggestions on any issue you may wish to rise with us are welcomed. Find a direct link to our emails under the Your Councillor's tab.

HELP US MAKE UP OUR MINDS
This site has been running now for a couple of years. Some of the pages on the site need updating and some of the links do not seem to be working well. Also as the Council is restructuring it's services our site will need a major revamp.
We can refresh the news items ourselves but have to have other work done by the designer who will obviously charge for his services. We as your Local Councillors don't mind paying ourselves but we want to know that it is a worthwhile cost.
We want to communicate and consult with as many of our constituants as is possible that is why we set up the site, why we can be contacted by email, telephonephone and post and why Cllr Marin Dyson @cllrmart and myself Cllr Margaret Bruff @cllrmags have joined Twitter. While we apologise for the invonvenience during this period we ask you to help us make the decission whether to keep the site going or to close it. We welcome your comments and ideas on this topic they will be very much appreciated. |
